The Heritage of Cebu is an original idea of the artist Eduardo Castrillo and Honorable Mayor Alvin B. Garcia . تراث سيبو هي الفكره الاصليه للفنان ادواردو castrillo ورئيس بلدية المشرفة الفين ب غارسيا. Concept - Design - Plan and Organization (1996); Construction - Fabrication of Artworks until Completion (July 1997 to December 2000.) مفهوم -- التصميم -- خطة وتنظيم (1996) ؛ البناء -- افتراء الى حين الانتهاء من الأعمال الفنية (تموز / يولية 1997 الى كانون الاول / ديسمبر 2000.)

The inscription reads: النقش تنص على ما يلي :

The pride, unity and cultural wealth of a race emanate from a people’s sense of self and history; from the early Filipinos to the dawn of European colonization, the revolution of 1896, the birth of the Philippine Republic. الفخر والوحدة والثراء الثقافي للسباق يصدر عن إحساس الناس الذاتية والتاريخ ؛ فى وقت مبكر من الفلبينيين الى فجر الاستعمار الأوروبي ، ثورة 1896 ، ولادة جمهورية الفلبين. The heroic contribution of the Cebuano people and the saga of events, which transpired on the islands of Cebu, are vital elements in the formulation of the nation we know today. البطل السيبيونو مساهمه من الشعب والقصة من الاحداث ، التي رشح على جزر سيبو ، هي عناصر اساسية في صياغه الامة ونحن نعرف اليوم. Their contribution should rightfully be emulated, immortalized and honored in a lasting monumental, aesthetic experience. مساهمتها في حق ينبغي ان يحتذى ، وكرمت في مخلد دائم الضخمه ، والتجربه الجمالية.

This would be a definite surprise among travel junkies around the world. وهذا من شأنه ان يكون واضحا بين مفاجاه الحشاشون السفر في جميع انحاء العالم.

From the editorial in Manila Times dated March 6, 2008: من التحرير في مانيلا تايمز بتاريخ 6 آذار / مارس 2008 :

HERE’S good news for a change. ها هي انباء طيبة بالنسبة للتغيير. The Philippines has advanced by five rungs in world tourism, according to the World Economic Forum, ranking 81st among 130 countries surveyed. الفلبين قد تقدمت بها خمس درجات في السياحة العالمية ، ووفقا للمنتدى الاقتصادي العالمي ، المرتبة الحاديه والثمانين من بين 130 بلدا شملها الاستقصاء.

The WEF’s Travel and Tourism Competitiveness Report 2008 said Manila was 86th among 124 countries polled last year. فان الاتحاد للسفر والسياحة 2008 وقال تقرير القدرة التنافسيه السادسه والثمانين من بين مانيلا وكان 124 بلدا شملهم الاستطلاع في العام الماضي. The report ranked the most attractive environments for the travel and tourism industry, factoring in government policy, regulations, environmental sustainability, safety and security, health and hygiene and the priority given to tourism. تقرير المرتبة البيئات الاكثر جاذبيه لصناعة السفر والسياحة ، العومله في سياسة الحكومة ، الانظمه ، والاستدامه البيءيه والسلامة والأمن والصحة والمرافق الصحية واعطاء الاولوية للسياحة.

Tourism is a big moneymaker for the Philippines. السياحة هي كبيرة moneymaker عن الفلبين. The WEF estimated that our hospitality industry last year amounted to $5.57 billion, reflecting a 4.4- percent annual growth with an employment of about 1.3 million people. فان الاتحاد يقدر أن صناعة الضيافة لدينا في العام الماضي بلغت 5،57 مليار دولار ، مما يعكس - 4.4 في المئة النمو السنوي للعمالة مع حوالي 1،3 مليون شخص. Our report yesterday said travel and tourism contributed about $12.3 billion to the national economy. وقال امس تقريرنا السفر والسياحة ساهمت في حوالي 12،3 مليار دولار الى الاقتصاد الوطني.

Tourism also boosts the national image. السياحة الوطنية ويعزز ايضا صورة. Travel is a big come-on for investments since businessmen are part of the tourist crowd and their impressions count much for investment decisions. السفر هو كبير يأتي - على رجال الأعمال للاستثمار منذ تشكل جزءا من حشد السياحيه وانطباعاتهم تعول كثيرا لقرارات الاستثمار.

Like housing, tourism has wide multiplier effect, boosting the travel (ships, airlines, bus lines) industry, the accommodations (hotels, condotels, tourist inns) business, sports and entertainment, restaurants, handicraft, historical and cultural centers and a wide constellation of local attractions. مثل الاسكان والسياحة على نطاق واسع قد أثر مضاعف ، زيادة على السفر (السفن وشركات الطيران ، خطوط الحافلات (الصناعة ، والإقامة (الفنادق ، condotels ، الحانات السياحيه (الاعمال التجارية والرياضة والترفيه ، المطاعم ، والصناعة التقليديه والتاريخية والمراكز الثقافيه وكوكبه واسعة من عوامل الجذب المحلية.

Upon reaching this place (The Osmeña Place in Metro Cebu; more than 1000 feet above sea level) last March 22, 2008, at 4AM, the first thing that caught my attention was these two beer bottles and a platter that have been, obviously, left by a couple. عند الوصول الى هذا المكان (مكان osmeña مترو الانفاق في سيبو ؛ اكثر من 1000 قدم فوق مستوى سطح البحر) في اذار / مارس الماضي 22 ، 2008 ، في 4am ، أن أول شيء لفت انتباهي هذين زجاجات البيرة والطبق الكبير التي كانت ، بالطبع ، وخرجت من زوجين.
